A ROYAL favourite heads the market for the Ascot Stakes (5.00pm) in Reaching High, but at the current prices he looks worth taking on.
The market leader has plenty of potential, yet he hasn’t been seen since failing to fire, when seemingly unlucky at last year’s Royal meeting, and is short enough given that absence.
For those seeking each-way value, PUTURHANDSTOGETHER makes plenty of appeal.
Joseph O’Brien’s runner endured a luckless time in the Chester Cup from the moment the stalls were allocated, being handed a difficult draw in stall 17.
Matters only worsened when he stumbled leaving the gates, ending any chance of securing a prominent position around Chester’s tight circuit.

He also met trouble in running but still finished a highly respectable seventh, a performance that can be upgraded considerably.
With a smoother passage and drying ground likely to play to his strengths, he looks capable of getting much closer here and rates a solid each-way contender to put pressure on the Royal favourite.
The 2025 Cesarewitch winner BEYLERBEYI is also worth noting.
He produced a highly impressive performance to land the prestigious prize at Newmarket despite carrying top-weight, with the combination of a hood and tongue tie clearly helping him to settle and show his best form.
His recent runs can be forgiven to some extent as they came over trips that looked short of his optimum and notably without the hood applied.
With the hood and tongue tie both back in place and now racing from what appears to be a very workable handicap mark, he looks well positioned to bounce back to something much closer to his peak level.
