Humanoid, a UK-based AI and robotics company building industrial humanoid robots, has closed a $152m (£114m) Series A financing at a $1.35bn (£1bn) valuation.
The raise marks the largest ever Series A for a humanoid-first robotics company in Europe and positions Humanoid as the leading humanoid-first robotics unicorn in the UK and continental Europe.
Until now, much of the physical AI momentum has been concentrated in the US and China. Humanoid says the investment demonstrates how the UK and continental Europe can produce and scale globally competitive humanoid robotics companies at the cutting-edge of the field.
The new capital will fund Humanoid’s next phase of growth, strengthening its technology leadership and accelerating its commercial deployments and business expansion.
The company will focus on the development and launch of its next-generation humanoid robotics platform and long-term commercial deployments at customer facilities across logistics, manufacturing, retail and other sectors, beginning with the roll-out of Beta version robots in Q4 2026.
Humanoid, which was founded just two years ago, will also start the mass manufacturing of its wheel-based humanoid robots, and scale its AI and software development.
The round was led by VC firm Prime Movers Lab, with participation from Schaeffler, Bosch, Fubon Financial Holding Venture Capital and Aglaé Ventures.
