NexDash, a Berlin-based integrated logistics operator electrifying Europe’s road freight, has secured €2.5 million in funding from EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union.

The investment is a pre-Series A commitment securing EIT Urban Mobility’s Series A participation. The investment was led on the NexDash side by Berit Inga Stranz, VP Sales and Strategic Partnerships. In November 2025, the company announced that it had raised €5 million in a Seed round to build Europe’s first “Neo-Carrier” for electric trucks, just three months after its founding.

“We welcome EIT Urban Mobility on board. Their investment fuels what we do best: electrifying freight – fleet by fleet, route by route, across Europe,” said Michael Cassau, Founder and CEO of NexDash.

Founded in 2025 by Michael Cassau, the entrepreneur behind tech-rental unicorn Grover, NexDash claims to be Europe’s first “Neo-Carrier”. The company states that it is building the foundation for a new generation of logistics: acquiring established mid-sized trucking companies, transitioning their fleets to electric vehicles, and operating them through its proprietary AI platform, NexOS.

The company brings together capital, energy, operations and technology in a single platform and takes operational accountability for the transition to zero-emission freight.

Earlier this month, the company announced its first acquisition, the acquisition of March Transporte, a 26-truck regional fleet operator based in Rheinbach, North Rhine-Westphalia. This transaction marks the first acquisition in NexDash’s buy-and-build consolidation of the fragmented German Mittelstand trucking sector.

According to NexDash, the collaboration with EIT Urban Mobility marks a key step in advancing sustainable logistics at scale. The initiative combines NexDash’s operational model with EIT Urban Mobility’s pan-European ecosystem and mission to foster greener, more efficient urban mobility. It aims to accelerate the transition to zero-emission freight while strengthening supply chain resilience across Europe.

“NexDash represents a new generation of freight operators in Europe, combining technology and operations to accelerate electrification at scale. We’re excited to back this strong team on their journey ahead,” said Johannes Kirschner, Investment Manager at EIT Urban Mobility.
