ActiveCampaign, a leading autonomous marketing platform, announced the launch of its Google Ads connector for Active Intelligence, its AI engine that powers end-to-end marketing. The connector enables marketers and business owners to connect their ActiveCampaign data to Google Ads and launch Performance Max campaigns directly inside ActiveCampaign. They can do this using simple, conversational prompts, without switching between platforms or managing multiple logins.

With the Google Ads connector, Active Intelligence acts as a personal guide that helps customers grow their business by extending their reach and increasing leads and sales through online advertising. It walks them through and assists throughout the campaign creation process, from creating a new Google Ads account to selecting a goal, and proposing ad copy. Built into this integration is Google’s gen AI asset builder (in beta) which can generate new images for the campaign, or you can use assets already stored in the ActiveCampaign Content Manager. With the marketer staying in control the entire time, their ads will reach high intent customers across Google’s entire network, including Search, YouTube, Gmail, Maps, Display, and Discover, all within their set budget.

The experience is designed around what ActiveCampaign calls the “last mile” of marketing. The idea is that business owners own the inputs while AI handles execution, freeing them to focus their expertise and creativity where it matters most. Whether a customer is running Google Ads for the first time or is a seasoned pro, Active Intelligence meets them where they are.

“For a lot of marketers and business owners, managing digital ad campaigns has meant juggling multiple platforms and spending more time on execution than on strategy,” said Chai Atreya, Chief Product and Technology Officer at ActiveCampaign. “With Active Intelligence, we’re changing that. We’re getting customers to the last mile of execution faster, so they can focus their energy on the strategy and the message, the parts that require their creativity and expertise.”

One conversation. One campaign. Every Google channel.

Performance Max is an all-in-one campaign type that uses AI to proactively find and convert new customers across Google’s entire inventory including Search, YouTube, Display and more from a single campaign. ActiveCampaign’s Google Ads connector makes it easy for marketers to create impactful campaigns by leveraging their data for richer audience insights and helping them make informed decisions.

Customers can get started by telling Active Intelligence what they want to achieve. If they’re new to Google Ads, it walks them through every step to get set up. If they already have a goal and budget in mind, they can share that with Active Intelligence and let it propose a plan from there. At every stage, customers stay in control of their strategy.

A growing ecosystem of Active Intelligence connectors

The Google Ads connector is the latest addition to Active Intelligence’s expanding connector ecosystem, with the goal of allowing customers to work across their entire marketing tech stack from a single, AI-powered workspace. Rather than logging into separate platforms one by one to execute a campaign, marketers can now bring those tools into Active Intelligence and get more done in a single conversation.

In addition to Google Ads, customers can connect Wix, Calendly, and Stripe to Active Intelligence, with more connectors coming soon. These connections bring outside context and capabilities into the platform, making Active Intelligence increasingly powerful as a central hub for marketing execution. This approach puts ActiveCampaign ahead of the curve: while most marketing platforms focus on what happens inside their own four walls, Active Intelligence is built to work intelligently across a marketer’s full tech stack.

The Google Ads connector for Active Intelligence is available now to ActiveCampaign customers on Plus plans and above. Customers can get started by navigating to the Active Intelligence Workspace and selecting Google Ads from the Tools menu. Click here for more information.
